Objective: Chikankari is delicate and artfully done hand embroidery on a variety of textile fabric like muslin, silk, chiffon, net, etc. Chikankari is totally hand-woven, which implies each piece is unique and it is impossible to imitate it in any other part of the world. This rare art of embroidery because of its flourishing demand is a source of employment to many women who apart from handling their family and children devote their time on this art. Thus it is important to make the world aware of this art which is manufactured only in Lucknow making it a heart of chikankari industry.
Our Contribution: To carry forward this tradition Eighteen pixels developed an e-commerce portal for chikankari clothes for Ada chikan to help them diversify this culture by educating people about this art and also let them deliver this handicraft globally. The portal provides the service to the customers to choose from wide variety and make the payment in multiple currencies.
